Romni Goodwood carries toys, novelties and a variety of items beyond knitting and spinning supplies. Stock will vary, and you never know what will be on display next. (From scissors shaped like a stork, to wind up tin toys.)
We also carry a changing variety of books, from handicraft guides to horse breed guides - we change the stock periodically so make sure to keep an eye on our shelves for the latest surprise!
Romni Goodwood is not just a yarn store - it also carries prints and sculptures from Canadian Artists. New installations open at several times during the year.
Romni Goodwood will also periodically feature items made by Canadian artisans, such as ceramics and jewellery.
We stock fair trade and collective created items whenever possible. Stock will vary based on season and availability. (Since many of our clothing type items are handmade, we get variable amounts at not always predictible intervals)
We also get "one-off" items periodically and special items, with these items we will only have stock until they sell and in the case of this type of item stock will not be replenished.
Because of this, we cannot guarantee clothing items will be in stock, or the same items will be available at a later date.
Clothing (Romni Goodwood - clearance and special lot items including a variety of dresses, shirts, jackets and more. Stock and type vary.)
Unique items as they arrive.

Romni's Tips and Tricks
Winding a ball of yarn
When winding a ball of yarn, be careful not to wind too tightly. This can damage the fibres of the yarn.

Yarns for your first project
Wool is a very forgiving fibre for new knitters who are not practiced at maintaining a consistent tension. Thicker yarns (Chunky weight) can also be easier for your first projects.
